Teaching has always been an important part of my life. In my early career, I taught cello and piano in a number of schools.
After gaining my PGCE, I taught ‘A’ level music at several Sixth Form colleges, as well as building up a private teaching business in Heaton Mersey. I also run the Stockport Franchise for Musical Moments - spreading happiness through interactive musical activity sessions for care homes and community groups. https://www.musical-moments.co.uk/

As a freelance cellist, I have played with a number of Orchestras including English Touring Opera, The Academy of St. Martin in the Field, The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera North and Northern Chamber Orchestra. Other freelance work included playing for a number of West End shows including ‘Crazy for You’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘Miss Saigon’ as well as performing on cruises.
